Our inspiration begins with women. And stays there.
ēvene was created by scientists, clinicians, and innovators who have spent years listening to how women experience change in their bodies - not just studying it. Again and again, we saw the same pattern: women doing everything right, yet feeling increasingly out of sync.
We don’t see this as a failure of effort, but a gap in support. Health had become something to manage instead of something to feel steady in.
ēvene exists to help restore that steadiness - through care that is thoughtful, measured, and grounded in research.
Nothing extreme. Just intention, applied well.
Behind the Name
We believe health is shaped by how the body responds over time. As women move through different stages of life, balance doesn’t disappear - it shifts.
Inspired by Eve, the spark of womanhood, and even, the steadiness we deserve as our bodies change, ēvene reflects a belief in health as an intentional practice - grounded in how the body works, not how it’s expected to perform.
Our Philosophy
We don’t believe in forcing the body to perform or masking symptoms to keep up. We believe in working with it - supporting its signals, rhythms, and capacity to adapt over time.
Every decision at ēvene begins with how something will be felt, tolerated, and trusted in real life - not just how it performs on paper.
Care should feel supportive, not demanding. And science should serve the person, not the other way around.
Scientific Collaborators
ēvene’s scientific collaborators span fermentation science, strain isolation, and metabolic research across South Korea and the U.S. Together, they guide the identification, refinement, and validation of targeted probiotic strains from discovery through clinical evaluation and production.

Nam-Soo Paek
Metabolic & Fermentation Science
Nam-Soo Paek holds a Ph.D. in fermentation and metabolic science and leads research in strain isolation and metabolic signaling. Dr. His work centers on the development of human-replicated probiotic strains studied for their role in metabolic signaling, including AMPK regulation - MG4231 and MG4244. Supported by Cornell’s CIFS-IPP through international research collaboration, his contributions have advanced clinically studied approaches to gut-driven metabolic regulation, body composition, and inflammation-related pathways.
Park Soo-dong
Senior Research Scientist
Park Soo-dong is a senior research scientist involved in the development and clinical research of the probiotic strains HY7601 and KY1032. As part of the R&BD team, he contributed to the refinement and evaluation of these strains, including participation in published human clinical studies assessing their effects on body composition and metabolic markers. His work supports the scientific foundation behind the precision selection and study of these kimchi-derived probiotics.
Lee Ki Beom
Scientific Research Investigator
Lee Ki-beom is a research scientist who contributed to the development and clinical research of the probiotic strains HY7601 and KY1032. Her work supported the evaluation of these strains in studies examining body composition and metabolic outcomes in both clinical and preclinical settings.
Mo Seong-Jun
Probiotic Development Scientist
Park Soo-dong is a senior research scientist who contributed to the development and clinical research of the probiotic strains HY7601 and KY1032. As part of the research team, he participated in research evaluating how these kimchi-derived strains influence body composition and metabolic signaling pathways. His work forms part of the broader scientific program focused on the precision selection and clinical study of these strains.
The People Behind ēvene
ēvene was brought to life by founders and practitioners who have spent years working directly with women’s health. What began as shared frustration became a shared commitment: to create support that feels thoughtful, evidence-informed, and grounded in real experience.

The Team Behind ēvene
Jay Koh
Founder
Jay founded ēvene after nearly two decades working within the U.S. health and supplement industry, where he witnessed firsthand the gap between bold marketing claims and meaningful results. With experience spanning product strategy, media, and industry partnerships - and deep ties to research communities in both the United States and South Korea - he set out to build a brand grounded in scientific collaboration, transparency, and long-term trust.
Sarah Reilly
CFMHC, FMACC, Functional Medicine Nutritionist
Sarah Reilly is a functional Medicine Nutritionist and owner of Get Nourished, a virtual nutrition clinic, serving clients globally. In clinical practice for nearly 2 decades, Sarah has sought to uncover the deeper root cause of gut, weight and energy issues for her clients.
She became a founding partner of ēvene to take her nutrition and wellness expertise to the next level. She’s inspired by creating powerful solutions to help women attain optimal health and vitality so they can embrace life with confidence, grace, and intention.
Pete Peterson
Operations & Integrity Lead
Pete brings 26 years of military leadership and a background shaped by psychology to the operational foundation of ēvene. His experience instilled a disciplined, evidence-based approach to decision-making — one that prioritizes safety, accountability, and long-term reliability.
At ēvene, Pete helps ensure that integrity is not just a principle, but a standard reflected in how products are evaluated, produced, and delivered.
